The LEAD 2 module will support you in finding ways of how to build the most productive teams by combining the diverse qualities of all the different people you work with. The module is developed out of a deep passion for the wonderful diversity of human personalities. In this module, we will crack the code of human behavior - including all its complexity and mystery - and demonstrate that human behavior is not something intangible, unpredictable, or unmanageable, but in fact something logical, predictable, and highly manageable.

In the process of recruiting and developing Leaders across Seed Company departments (R&D, Sales & Marketing, Production, Operations, Finance, and Administration) many companies are still focusing on candidates’ scientific/technical track records. In this course, we will teach you to include candidates’ talents to empower other individuals and develop exceptional employee engagement, which leads to effective teamwork, and organization excellence!

This course is ideal for all seed company decision-makers, including executive leadership, upper and middle management, as well as up-and-coming talents and future leaders across various departments, including Plant Breeding and Research, Sales and Marketing, Seed Production, Operations, Finance, and Administration.

Course Curriculum:

The LEAD 2 module will support you in finding ways of how to build the most productive teams by combining the diverse qualities of all the different people you work with. The module is developed out of a deep passion for the wonderful diversity of human personalities. In this module we will crack the code of human behavior - including all its complexity and mystery - and demonstrate that human behavior is not something intangible, unpredictable, or unmanageable, but in fact something logical, predictable, and highly manageable.

In the process of recruiting and developing R&D leaders, companies are still predominantly focusing on candidates’ scientific and technical track records. They hardly ever focus on the candidates’ experience with empowering individuals and developing exceptional employee engagement. Individuals, however, have highly heterogenous motives and talents; recognizing and utilizing this diversity is essential for good teamwork.

By being able to put our finger on the different personalities, communication preferences, and work styles of individuals we are holding the key to developing R&D teams that strike the best balance between the various strengths that all these individuals bring to the plate. Achieving that balance is what this module is about.

Deliverables:

  • A thorough understanding of the predictability of human behavior.
  • An authentic, versatile leadership style, based on strong self-awareness.
  • Lead and inspire your direct reports utilizing their unique talents, preferences, and skills.
  • Maximize team output, creating the right environment for true strategic innovation.
  • Constructive, personality-based feedback skills.

Instructors:

This course is taught by experts from both industry and academia. This is a great chance to interact with experts in the field.
