Vice President, Commercial Business

  • Travel: 25–40% (Domestic & International)

Position Summary

Lead and scale the commercial business for open field vegetable seeds across the Americas and Middle East, with primary

accountability for revenue growth and overall commercial performance. The person will own the full commercial P&L – product

positioning, channel strategy, team performance, B2B relationships and customer relationships – As well as serving as the senior

commercial voice of the company in the region of operations as well as leadership council.

Serves as a key member of the leadership team with responsibility for product positioning, portfolio prioritization, and go-to-

market strategy across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Product Portfolio

  • Develop and execute global product portfolio strategy
  • Feed market intelligence back to HQ on competitor positioning, grower needs and trait priorities
  • Lead product launches, including trial management, demonstrations and storytelling
  • Evaluate product performance and determine advancement or discontinuation
  • Partner with R&D and Supply Chain on long-term product planning

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and lead the commercial strategy with clear milestones to support revenue growth
  • Develop and execute market entry and penetration strategy by geography, crop, and channel tier
  • Identify whitespace opportunities – new geographies, underserved grower segments, emerging crop categories
  • Drive, build and manage high performance distributor / dealer network across US, Mexico, LATAM and support Middle East growth.

Leadership & Oversight

  • Create a culture of collaboration, accountability and grower first thinking
  • Set performance standards, coach for execution and identify gaps to fill
  • Set up a product development and advancement function
  • Ensure alignment across departments to meet business objectives

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Connect Product Development, Sales, and Operations
  • Align product pipeline with commercial needs
  • Support execution of product strategies across teams

Global Focus

  • Support strategy across U.S., Mexico, Americas and Middle East
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape
  • Travel as needed

Education

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, sales, or related leadership roles with meaningful time in open field

and/or mid tech vegetables specifically

  • Agriculture, seed, or related industry experience preferred
  • Understanding of US/Mexico/LATAM grower economics and behavior, Middle East exposure is a strong plus
  • Has managed commercial teams and knows how to inherit, reset and elevate one
  • Billingual (English/Spanish) is a significant advantage
  • Comfortable with being both strategic and hands on as required
  • Track record in scaling is a plus

Compensation

$160,000 – $220,000 annually for U.S.-based candidates. This range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the

compensation for this position in the United States and may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and

business needs.

Compensation for candidates based outside of the United States will be determined in accordance with local market conditions,

applicable laws, and internal compensation practices.
