The CSA Played a Critical Role in the Founding of the Seed Biotechnology Center

The CSA staff and volunteer leadership worked diligently to garner industry-wide support for the creation of the SBC.  The SBC has proven to be a valuable ally serving as an independent scientific voice on a wide range of regulatory and policy issues that affect the seed industry.  The current economic study calculating the value of the California seed industry is a partnership between CSA, the California Seed Advisory Board and the SBC.  The results of this industry funded study will be presented at the upcoming Mid-Year meeting in Monterey.  CSA staff and industry members serve on the SBC's Advisory Council and SBC staff serve on a variety of CSA committees.  This 10 year partnership has proven to be of great value to both organizations.
